The Art of Creating Your Best Self is the Technology Leadership & Innovation Learning Community which provides students with the unique opportunity to explore various elements of personal development through activities and presentations about career exploration. This Learning Community gives our students the opportunity to identify strengths and skills associated with their career interests and goals. The Technology Leadership and Innovation LC is a one-semester opportunity ensuring a successful start to college. The career decision-making process will include weekly meetings, a Gateway course, and personal exploration exercises/activities. It is possible to participate in the Women in Technology Learning Community in combination with the TLI Learning Community.


  • First-time beginning students admitted to the Purdue Polytechnic Institute with majors in Organizational Leadership, Information Technology Systems, Engineering Technology or Supply Chain
  • First-time beginning students admitted to the Purdue Polytechnic Institute
  • First-time beginning students admitted to Exploratory Studies
  • This LC is available to Honors College participants; those students will live with the Honors College and participate in the course(s) and activities of the LC

Residential Component

  • OPTIONAL in McCutcheon Hall
  • Information about this residence hall can be found here
  • If you choose this option, your roommate in most cases will be a member of the LC
  • Completing a housing contract is a separate process from applying for the LC
