The mission of this Learning Community is to enhance the academic experiences of first-year students at Purdue University and to help students become engaged with the Purdue University community. This Learning Community welcomes all first-year students and provides an environment that complements the learning outcomes of the Gender and Sexuality Studies curriculum at Purdue University. Learning Community students will be introduced to a wide range of campus resources and activities and have opportunities to network with students who share common interests. Students will work together through LC activities to apply the academic concepts they are learning in the classroom. At its core, this Learning Community emphasizes service-learning, acknowledging that service is not only a fundamental part of learning, but that it is also an essential component of full participation in the global community.
