The Krannert Direct Admit Learning Community for incoming freshmen is another way for top high school students to enhance their Purdue experience. Members of this LC have unique social events, professional workshops, accelerated classes, and can live in a residence hall with other high-ability students who share their major. Students can embrace the exciting new environment of a first-year student with their peers with similar academic interests. As one student noted, "Being part of the Learning Community was a great experience. I was able to meet many like-minded freshmen and still remain close friends with many of them today. It was helpful because you share many classes with other students in the Learning Community, so you always know someone in your classes and you can help each other with any questions about courses you might be taking." Students network with their peers and faculty while enhancing their academic experience in the Krannert Direct Admit LC.
