The Common Reading Program Award is for best essay or multi-media production expressing how the Common Reading book relates to the college experience or future endeavors. For a chance to win $300, $150 or $50 from the Office of University Sustainability, address the following question by September 15, 2013:
Much of what impacts our environment are everyday activities. What activities in your life could you realistically change in order to reduce our collective environmental impact? How do you think this change would improve the quality of your life and others? If you were in charge, how would you go about implementing this change on a broad scale?
1st Place: $300
2nd Place: $150
3rd Place: $50
Winners will be honored during Purdue’s Green Week, October 21-25, 2013.
- Each submission must include:
- Format: If submitted in essay format: length to not be more than approximately 1500 words. If Video submission, no longer than 20 minutes.
