PURDUE PERSON SEARCH (PPS)
As a result of the president's request to remove SSN from systems as the primary identifier, offices providing services to students will need to have a way to convert the PUID or name into SSN. The Purdue Person Search application can be used to accomplish this.

The application does not process batch requests, and must be used as a single record look up. Users manually enter the PUID on-screen.

If more than one individual has the same name, the following results would appear, and the user would need to determine which of the individuals matches the individual they are speaking with.

The users can either determine from the information on the above screen, which individual matches the person they are speaking with, or, as in the example below, they can click on the individual name in order to get more complete information to identify the correct individual.

The career account information is used for sign-in, and the account can be terminated if not used in a 90-day period.

Access requires users to be signed-off on FERPA, and the access request form must be signed by the department head or supervisor as well as the student data steward. The form can be downloaded at: http://www.purdue.edu/ssta/infosys/datasystems/requestprivileges.php
