NEW VIEW: DECISION SUPPORT SYSTEM
In order to protect access to SSN by unauthorized individuals, three views are now going to be used for the DSS Warehouse:

• Complete view will give those offices/individuals access to the complete data warehouse as they have now. However, in order to retain complete access, the DSS Exception for SSN Form must be completed and required documentation attached. This view will be limited.
   
• Default view will be the newly created view. The only difference between this view and Complete view is that SSN will not appear. This will be the view granted to all new users, and to existing users who cannot document a legal requirement for accessing the SSN.
   
• General view will remain as it is. This view does not contain the SSN, Name, Address or PUID. It will be granted to all users who have been through training but do not have an ACID.

The SAS Share datasets will be going through a similar revision. The manner in which the accesses will be determined is not yet finalized, however, SSN will be given limited access to those with a legal requirement to have the access.

The new views for both the DSS Warehouse and the SAS Share datasets will be put in place on August 15, 2005.
