2007-08 Experiences & Accomplishments

CAMPUS-WIDE FOCUS

  1. SMARTcomputing Program Involvement:
    • Executive Oversight Committee
    • Infrastructure Design Committee co-lead
    • Search Committee for Enterprise SCCM System Administrator
  2. Initiated and developed a campus-wide IT Directors’ Portfolio to support sharing of resources on efforts in common.
  3. DCM/AITL Joint IT Directors Committee member
  4. IT Security Officer representative for Student Services
  5. Purdue Security Contact representative for Student Services  
  6. IT Communications Network representative for Student Services
  7. Participated in development of University’s Electronic Data Security Incident Pla
  8. ISAA Conference presentations made:
    • A Balanced Score Card Implementation
    • A 360 Degree Assessment Overview

SSTA FOCUS

  1. Oversaw 2007 SSTA Balanced Score Card to meet or exceed 13 of 15 metrics
  2. Led effort to established new metrics and initiatives for 2008 Balanced Score Card.
  3. Oversaw SSTA Customer Satisfaction levels:
    • Dept Heads: Services Important & Satisfaction Survey = 4.45/5.00 with (.19) gap
    • Dept. Coordinators: SSTA Staff Satisfaction = 4.85/5.00 (a record high)
    • Dept Customers: SSTA Support Incident Satisfaction = 4.89./5.00 (a record high)
    • SSTA Staff: Staff Satisfaction Gallup Survey = 4.00/5.00 (3-yr trend is even with no attrition during 2007-08)
  4. Developed and implemented two new satisfaction surveys:
  5. Oversaw the TCD group to achieve following project delivery metrics
    • 100% On-time Delivery of date promised
    •  92% On-time Delivery by Estimated Effort
    •  92% Project Management Methodology Adherence  
  6. Oversaw the WT group to achieve:
    • 4-Year support call trend being reduced by 50% due to stability and efficiency
    • Number of workstations supported per WT staff member being 23% higher than 2 similar areas on campus.
    • Number of additional devices supported per WT staff member being 50% higher than 2 similar areas on campus.
  7. Oversaw VPSS Identity & Security Initiatives Plan to 100% completion of 486 items.

    • Student Hospital Electronic Health Records project
    • Dean of Students’ Student Organization management system project
    • Dean of Students’ Off-Campus Housing web site
    • Migration of Student Self Service from SSINFO terminals to myPurdue kiosks
    • BOSO: Financial Course Web Registration
    • ODOS: Testing Center Advance Credit Testing Web Registration
    • Development of a secure Laptop-as-a-Desktop offering for our traveling users
    • Development of an electronic notepad offering for taking meeting notes
