How the Program Works
The objective of the Parents Program is to strengthen the educational aspirations of families by providing parents with the skills that they need to help their children succeed as Science Bound participants and eventually graduate from Purdue University.

Parents qualify to participate as soon as they sign the Science Bound student participation contract. The following expectations are encouraged for continued participation:

1. Parents must attend 75 percent of Science Bound functions.
2. Parents must attend monthly parenting support meetings.
3. Parents must plan to visit teacher-mentors at least once every nine-week school period.
4. Parents must ensure that their child attends at least one summer camp each year.
5. Parents must participate in an annual family retreat.
