You're almost there! As a high school senior in the Science Bound program, you must realize that growing should never stop. Always strive for academic success and continually seek out experiences that expose you to new information. You never arrive.

Senior Meetings

As a Science Bound senior your participation requires attending "Senior Meetings" each month at the library downtown. The focus of Senior Meetings is career professional and college preparatory in nature. We'll help you to identify skills, meet guest speakers and connect you with valuable resources including your own Admissions representative.

Senior Meetings are held Riley Meeting Room of the Marion County Library, downtown. These meetings will be held:

  • Wed. Feb. 1        6 PM
  • Wed. Mar. 14      6 PM
  • Thurs. Apr. 11     6 PM

Senior Checklist

  • Attend one After-School Meeting at your high school each month
  • Attend Senior Meetings each month
  • Complete the Purdue Application
  • Attend Senior Shadow (October)
  • Retake the SAT (no later than November)
  • Accept Offer to Purdue
  • Complete FAFSA (Deadline: February 1, 2012)
  • Apply for Housing
  • Apply for a Learning Community
  • Sign up for Academic Boot Camp (5 week session lasts from first week in July to first week in August)
  • Sign up for BGR (occurs the week before classes begin)

Parent Program

You and your parents are invited to attend Parent Meetings the first Tuesday of each month at 6:00 pm (Crispus Attucks auditorium) during the school year. There you meet with industry professionals, learn about STEM career opportunities, and are kept abreast of Science Bound program activities, educated on what is expected at Purdue.
