Using laser light as a probe, Purdue researchers have generated computer images that simulate the reconstruction of diseased tissue based on the way the tissue fluoresces. This image simulates how a fluorescent contrast agent accumulates in diseased tissue. The brighter the area, the higher the concentration of the agent.
