Advisors

Every Purdue student is assigned an advisor who provides academic information and advice. Academic advisors help students work out programs of study and select courses.

They provide information about registration, electives, schedule revisions, changing majors, and graduation requirements. However, it is the student's responsibility to learn what his or her options are and to develop and follow a plan of study that will satisfy the requirements of the degree he or she is seeking. Students are encouraged to ask questions and to make use of their academic advisors and the many other advising resources on campus.

Each school has a general counseling office with academic advisors who can answer questions about degree requirements, registration, adding or deleting courses, and withdrawal from Purdue.
