Follow the Band
Purdue Promise's "From 1 Boilermaker 2 Another" Project is encouraging us to look past ourselves and recognize others for doing great things. If you have received the black and gold wristband, that means someone thought you have done something great. We hope you will continue doing good things, and we want you to pass the wristband on by acknowledging someone else's good acts.
We consider someone to have done something great if they have overcome a personal obstacle, created an innovative idea that will better the lives of others, been a strong community volunteer, helped someone in need, or made a difference in someone's day or life.
Once you have caught someone in an act of greatness, pass the wristband on to them, share with them about the wristband and why you gave it to them. Then come back here to record the story behind the wristband pass. Who? What? Why? And so on.

As temporary owner of the wristband, you want to keep an eye out for greatness - big or small. And then pass the wristband on.
