How to Plan Co-curricular Activities

To plan co-curricular activities for your learning community students, follow the instructions listed below, and be sure to start your planning process well in advance.

Event Guidelines

You MUST fill out an Event Request Form and submit it to SATS staff members working with Learning Communities AT LEAST TWO WEEKS in advance of your activity.

To use the learning communities credit card, contact the SATS Business Office at 49-46326 or 49-63890 AT LEAST ONE WEEK in advance of the activity to schedule a time to pick up the credit card at the SATS office.

• Reserve a Location

You can reserve most rooms on campus by filling out a reserve-a-room form on the Space Management and Academic Scheduling Web site. If you want a room in the Union or Stewart Center, you must make a reservation through the Union Catering and Events Office by calling 49-48910. (Keep in mind that if you’re using Stewart or the Union and you want food, your event must be catered by the Union Catering and Events Office.)

To schedule events in University housing, please contact the Learning Community office at 49-49328 AT LEAST 3 WEEKS prior to your event.  Outside food may not be brought into the residence halls.

• Make Travel Arrangements

For information about requesting transportation for off-campus activities, visit www.purdue.edu/transportation/. This site lists types of transportation, rates, and more.  Requests for use of vehicles or buses must be made through Transportation Services.  We cannot contact outside vendors directly.  All forms must be submitted to Tammy Lineback for signature.
