Student Access, Transition & Success Programs

Summer Transition, Advising and Registration

Summer Transition, Advising and Registration (STAR) is Purdue's program for new undergraduate students to receive academic advice and create their initial course schedule.  Incoming students (for the fall term) will select their one-day STAR session and come to Purdue's West Lafayette campus to conduct this and other important business.

Attendance Policy
All new, domestic, first-year and transfer students who will enroll in classes for the first time in fall 2012 are required to attend the Summer Transition, Advising, and Registration (STAR) program to receive academic advisement and register for their courses.  Students who do not attend this program will still receive advisement and be registered for their fall courses, but they will not be able to do so until Purdue faculty and staff have concluded serving the students participating in STAR.

Program Dates
STAR 2012 will be held June 18 - July 12, 2012 (weekdays only). Arrival check in is 7-8 am, welcome presentation at 8 am and the program ends at 5 pm each day.  (note: Purdue is on the Eastern Time Zone and always has the same time as New York City.)
