Summer Transition, Advising and Registration (STAR) is Purdue's program for new undergraduate students to receive academic advice and create their initial course schedule. Incoming students (for the fall term) will select their one-day STAR session and come to Purdue's West Lafayette campus to conduct this and other important business. STAR registration is done online via the myPurdue portal.
STAR 2010 will be held June 21 - July 15, 2010 (weekdays only). Information on specific college programs and the daily agenda will be posted when available.
Students may sign up for STAR and select their specific date once they have accepted their offer of admission.
Attendance Policy: All new, domestic, first-year and transfer students who will enroll in classes for the first time in fall 2010 are required to attend the Summer Transition, Advising, and Registration (STAR) program to receive academic advisement and register for their courses. Students who do not attend this program will still receive advisement and be registered for their fall courses, but they will not be able to do so until after Purdue University’s faculty and staff have concluded serving the students who participated in STAR 2010.
For International Students
International students who have yet to schedule for the fall semester should contact the office responsible for academic advising for their respective college. A list of academic advising offices and contact information is available here. Information on coming to Purdue, including course registration information, can be found on the International Students and Scholars website.
