A representative faculty/staff Nominating Committee is appointed each year by the President of the Association and chaired by the Past-President, with the approval of the Executive Board. The committee solicits names from PURA members for all the open officer positions and prepares a slate of candidates reflecting the diversity of the Association membership.
The slate of nominees is established in November and published in the January issue of the PURA Newsletter, along with an announcement that additional nominees may be submitted from the floor at the March monthly Association luncheon meeting. Elections are conducted at the April monthly meeting. A nominator must have the consent of the nominee to make a nomination from the floor.
