Christine King acts as
a starting point for faculty
seeking funding from external
sponsors, particularly
federal agencies. She disseminates
funding opportunities and
trains faculty in the use
of the Community of Science
funding databases. Cris
works individually with
faculty seeking assistance
in the development and
submission of research
and education proposals,
and helps connect them
with others who can provide
assistance or collaboration.
She facilitates the development
of research collaborations,
and particularly promotes
the development of individual
and university-wide proposals. She also coordinates the services of OVPR-Funded grant writing and project coordination.
Cris has bachelor's and master's
degrees in education. She
came to Purdue in 1998
with five years' experience
in research development
and research administration
at the University of Georgia
and Southern Illinois University,
and with four years' experience
in faculty development
at DePauw University.
