The Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR) has administered several seed grant programs, both internal to Purdue and
in partnership with other institutions such as Indiana University and the University of Notre Dame. The OVPR Research Development staff can assist with internal seed grant opportunities by reviewing request for proposals (RFPs) and assisting with coordination, as needed. The staff are also available to review proposals prior to submission, offer guidance or advice on responding to an RFP, or assist with timeline development, provided sufficient time is allotted prior to the deadline.
Indiana CTSI
The Indiana CTSI provides millions in funding every year by
leveraging support from its member institutions across the state, as well as
public and private partnerships. New requests for proposals are updated
regularly.

Other Collaborations
Global Policy Research Institute (GPRI)
- The Purdue University Global Policy Research Institute (GPRI) requests the submission of proposals which will catalyze the teaming of social with natural scientists, engineers or technologists to address important problems that can inform pressing public policy issues that are global in scope yet the response could be multi-country, national, or regional. The multi-disciplinary teams should address salient interconnections (technical, economic, and human) as well as tools needed to facilitate research collaboration between social and natural scientists, engineers, or technologists (data-base, computational, physical, mathematical, statistical). GPRI will present awards in two types of activities: (1) research projects and (2) international workshops or conferences relevant to GPRI’s mission and theme areas. In this round, $150,000 will be provided for up to three research awards at nominally $40,000 each and up to three international workshop and/or conference awards of up to $10,000 each. These incentive award grants are intended to support proposal development activities that will lead to the submission in 2012/2013 of successful grants from federal or other sources of support. Proposals that will lead to international collaborations with international co-PI(s) or private/public sector entities are strongly encouraged.
