The purpose of this site is to inform potential human subject research participants about:

>>the research process, and

>>your rights and responsibilities as a human subject.

The pictures to the left are links to a video sequence that tells a story of one student's experience as a human research participant.

Each video shows different aspects of being involved as a human research subject accompanied by a list of questions you might ask or think about if you were participating in a research project.

By the end of the story you should be familiar with terms like informed consent and Institutional Review Board (IRB).

We hope that should you decide to participate in research as a human subject, you will be able to ask good questions of the investigators, yourself, and others.
