Simulation

Simulations are performed in order to discover phenomena that relate to the performance and integrity of engineered systems. The following activities have been used to identify unanticipated phenomena:

-Simulation of adversarial networks to include political, economic, military, social, societal, infrastructure, and information systems

-Agent based simulation of multi-nation models to study the behavior of complex systems in which agents interact using local rules

-Real-time simulation of systems (aircraft) coupled with live data sources used to update models and quantify uncertainty in the simulation

-Analysis of complex, multi-layer, dynamic network topologies to increase robustness (integrity) and scalability of interoperating systems
