Evaluating a State Sponsored Approach to Improving Nursing Home Quality
Presented by Kathleen Abrahamson, Assistant Professor of Nursing
Kathy Abrahamson earned degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and Western Illinois University before earning the PhD in sociology from Purdue in 2008. Prior to her 2013 faculty appointment at Purdue, she was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Public Health at Western Kentucky University.
Much of Kathy’s research is focused on long term care, implementation of healthcare quality improvement, and quality of life and work within nursing home settings. Her published research appears in a variety of outlets including Annals of Long Term Care, Journal of Aging and Health, Journal of Gerontology: Social Sciences, and The Gerontologist.
