Animal models of disease states

The Transgenic Mouse Core Facility (TMCF) offers a variety of services to the Purdue Center for Drug Discovery, including generation of transgenic mice, gene targeting in embryonic stem cells, blastocyst injections for the generation of knock-out mice, morula aggregation for chimeric mouse production, strain rederivation, in vitro fertilization, embryo cryopreservation, sperm freezing, intracytoplasmic sperm injection and mouse embryo fibroblast (MEF) cell production. Functional Imaging

The Purdue Bioscience Imaging Facility provides the instruments and expertise needed to visualize molecules in preparations ranging from single cells to entire animals. All facility users receive individualized instrument training as well as project specific advice for optimal data acquisition.
