Special Student Awards

The Global Policy Research Institute would like to congratulate two of our affiliated students on being recognized as recipients of The Charles O. McGaughey Leadership Award.  Milad Alucozai is one of our GPRI Ambassadors and is in the College of Health and Human Sciences.  Nicholas D. King is one of our 2013 Interns and is in the College of Education.  This award honors students for leadership promise.  To be eligible for these awards, students must have completed a minimum of two years full-time study at Purdue and achieved at least a 3.0 graduate index.  Recipients are selected on the basis of their contributions to the University and the community.  Each honoree receives $3,345 as an acknowledgement of their superior leadership abilities, scholarship, and appreciation of basic American values, and a crystal paperweight commemorating the award.  Congratulations to Milad and Nick!

Three Foundational Pillars

Purdue University’s decision to launch a Global Policy Research Institute (GPRI) builds on Purdue’s solid foundation as a land grant university with a world renowned reputation in agriculture, engineering and the sciences. With Purdue’s research competencies serving as its foundation, GPRI is focusing its efforts on building and sustaining three critical pillars.
