Differential Gene Expression using RNA-Seq –Workshop

Thursday, October 10, 2013; 12:30 to 5:00 PM; NLSN 1195

This workshop provides a hands-on introduction to differential gene expression analysis using Illumina reads. We will use TopHat and Cufflinks for mapping and DGE analysis

Familiarity with UNIX is required to participate in the workshop

Target audience: Those completely unfamiliar with RNA-Seq analysis using high throughput NGS data.

Please register by 5 PM on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 by sending an email to bioinformatics@purdue.eduwith the following information:

  • Name and email (only will be accepted):
  • Advisor’s Name:
  • Level of familiarity with UNIX/LINUX: Basic or Intermediate or Advanced
  • Do you have RNA-Seq data? Or will you generate RNA-Seq data in the near future?


Since the workshop can accommodate only 30 people, please sign up only if you are certain to attend.
