Dr. Pedro Alvarez, the George R. Brown Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Rice University, will present a talk titled “Nanotechnology-Enabled Water Treatment: A Vision to Enable Decentralized Water Treatment and Address Growing Challenges of the Water Energy Nexus”.

The lecture is the keynote address of the Association of Environmental Engineering and Science Professors (AEESP) Distinguished Lecturer conference at to be held at Purdue, 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Shively Club, Ross Ade Pavilion, 850 Beering Dr., West Lafayette. Registration is available online at http://bit.ly/aeespdlc.  Contribution of poster presentations can be made on-line as well. 

The lecture and conference is co-hosted by the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Bradley University, Illinois Institute of Technology, Notre Dame, and Purdue Northwest.
