Purdue University Research and Scholarship Distinction Award - Humanities and Social Sciences

Background

The establishment of the Lu Ann Aday Award replaces the Research and Scholarly Distinction Award by formally endowing Purdue’s most prestigious research award in the humanities and social sciences.

The Purdue University Research and Scholarship Distinction Award for humanities and social sciences was launched in 2013. It was established by the Offices of the President, Provost, and Executive Vice President for Research and Partnerships in recognition of a member of the faculty who had made a major impact in the humanities or social sciences. The award is the most prestigious award given by the University in the humanities and social sciences.
