Safety and Ergonomics

Click here for OSHA 300 log reporting
requirements (effective January 1, 2002).

The General Safety Section is responsible for ensuring OSHA compliance and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for staff, students, and visitors.  Some examples of programs are:

Building Inspections - Inspect University buildings and grounds for fire and safety code compliance.

Ergonomics -  Provide training and on-site assessments for office ergonomics.

General Safety -  Provide safety consulting for faculty and staff and investigate accidents occurring on University property.

OSHA 300 Log -  Maintain injury and illness record keeping and provide information as needed by departments and safety committees.

OSHA Programs for Worker Safety -   Provide assistance for program set-up including required training and auditing for OSHA compliance.
