Diagnostic X-ray systems are used more than you might imagine on campus. From the student hospital to the veterinary hospital to the biomedical engineering department, x-rays are being used every day. As you might imagine, x-ray systems do produce a significant amount of radiation and every precaution must be taken in order to minimize your exposure.
