Key Dates

• March 2, 2012 - Graduation Tab available on the student myPurdue
• April  6, 2012 - Last day to order cap and gown
• April 11, 2012 - Last day for degree only registrations for Spring 2012 
• April 13, 2012 - Last day to order commencement tickets
• April 13, 2012 - Last day to indicate participation using the participation link on the Graduation tab in myPurdue, if participating 
  • Students who miss the participation deadline may contact the Office of the Registrar for information regarding participation in a future ceremony at commencement@purdue.edu.    

Spring 2012 Commencement Schedule

The ceremony takes place in the Elliott Hall of Music. Doors open for your guests 90 minutes prior to the ceremony.  The procession begins 30 minutes before the ceremony.  The commencement ceremony will be approximately two hours in length.

****** Diploma Distribution ******

Candidates for master’s and undergraduate degrees participating in the May commencement exercises will receive diploma covers and hear their names announced as they walk across the stage.  Their diplomas will not be inside their diploma covers.

Qualified master’s and undergraduate candidates who participate in commencement may pick up their diplomas on Monday, May 14 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Armory.  These candidates must show a picture ID to receive their diplomas.  Diplomas not picked up on May 14 will be mailed within one week following the ceremony to the candidates’ permanent diploma mailing address listed on myPurdue. 

Diplomas for all candidates who do not attend commencement will be mailed within four weeks after the May ceremonies conclude.
