Healthy Student Organizations
Purdue Wellness is bringing you another way to stay healthy and win prizes at the same time!
The Healthy Student Organization program awards student organizations who work towards a healthier lifestyle! Student organizations can attend an activity, create an activity, or work with campus resources to practice: physical, social, intellectual, occupational, environmental, financial, spiritual, or emotional wellness. Organizations who submit at least three submission forms demonstrating their participation in a healthy program will be awarded prizes! Win vouchers for discounted food orders from restaurants, win prizes, get public recognition, and more! Check out each dimension of wellness below!

The Demonstration Kitchen strives to make cooking accessible to everyone, by demonstrating delicious recipes and menus that are quick, easy, and affordable. We offer a variety of scheduled cooking demonstrations throughout the school year, in addition to private demos and kitchen rentals.
The Mindfulness Series helps you rewind, focus, and tackle stress. Come to this four series workshop to learn different aspects about mindfulness. Series sessions cover how mindfulnes can be practiced in stress/emotional control, meditation, yoga, and eating. Learn about how mindfulness can help you de-stress and learn to better enjoy all aspects of life! Registration required. Email Will Evans at firstname.lastname@example.org to register.
Monday, February 13th: Meditation from 4:00-5:30pm in MP6
- Learn how mindfulness can be applicable to all areas of life. Then be led through two different meditations to help foster your mindfulness. Learn how focusing on the moment, intentional breathing and thoughtful reflection can help you improve positivity and reduce stress.
Wednesday, February 15th: Yoga from 4:30-5:30pm in MP6
- Learn how to be mindful of your body by participating a yoga session. Increase your awareness of how your body holds stress and learn ways to release tension.
Monday, February, 20th: Mindful Eating from 4:30-5:30pm in the Demonstration Kitchen
- Learn how eating can become a practice in mindfulness by taking the time to appreciate and notice your food. Learn how to connect what you’re eating to what your body needs nutritionally and explore foods that cater to the five senses.
Wednesday, February22nd: Emotional Mindfulness from 4:30-5:30pm in the Wellness Conference Room
- Learn how to rethink stress and practice ways to become mindful of its impact. Leave viewing stress as a friend, not your enemy.
