Class Descriptions

CYCLE & CORE

Take your ride to the next level in this power class! Utilizing various cycling techniques such as sprints, hills, climbs, and more, participants will be able to improve their training and overall performance. We will end our class with a core workout leaving you energized and ready for more! This class is open to 32 participants.

TEAM CONDITIONING  NEW!

Tire flips, sled pushes, sled pulls, farmer carries, and more, this class will leave you feeling strong and energized.  Join us as we go through these boot camp style conditioning workouts to improve overall fitness. This class will challenge you both mentally and physically as we complete tasks with strength and endurance.  No experience necessary, all levels are welcome to take on this challenge. This class is open to 16 participants.

POWER VINYASA YOGA

This class encompasses an energetic style of yoga that includes specific sequences designed to build strength and stamina while disciplining the mind. This class not only focuses on your alignment, but also the fluidity from one pose to the next. This course is designed for those new to the practice of Power Yoga as well as the seasoned practitioner. The basics and fundamentals of Power Yoga poses will be introduced. Learn the process of proper alignment in the poses, breathing techniques, and the use of props in your practice and build confidence in your yoga postures. This class is open to 35 participants.

YOGA FLOW 

One breath, one movement is the mantra for this class. This practice is a Vinyasa style class synchronizing breath and varying yoga poses to create a smooth transitioning flow. This form of yoga produces an internal heat that will challenge aerobic endurance, increase flexibility, and build overall strength. This course is designed for those new to the practice of Yoga as well as the seasoned practitioner. Learn the process of proper alignment in the poses, breathing techniques, and the use of props in your practice. Participants will leave this class feeling invigorated, relaxed and full of confidence from their yoga practice. This class is open to 35 participants.

YOGA & MEDITATION

This lunchtime yoga class will connect mind, body, and breath.  Yoga & meditation will allow our bodies to increase endurance, Increase flexibility, and increase overall strength.  This course is designed for all levels and will introduce the practice of meditation as a healing practice. Flow through these restorative poses as we take on the day together. This class is open to 35 participants.

KICKBOXING

Kickboxing is an introductory martial arts course that centers on mastering authentic kickboxing techniques and improving fitness. This full-body workout challenges all major muscle groups while improving aerobic capacity, muscular strength, balance, decreasing stress, improving focus and boosting confidence. Students will learn traditional drills and combinations to effectively strike pads in offensive and defensive situations and ultimately create punch and kick combinations independently. Boxing gloves, punching mitts and Muay Thai pads are used regularly in class. Equipment is provided. Hand wraps are required for this class; participants may bring their own or purchase hand wraps at the CoRec Equipment Sales and Rental desk for $5.50. This class is open to 24 participants

BATTLEROPE CIRCUIT  NEW!

Unleash your fierce! This conditioning style circuit class encompasses total body exercises from pushups, burpees, squats, and more, leading up to the ultimate Battlerope challenge!  Grab your friends and experience our new Battlerope format which is sure to leave you feeling strong, energized, and ready to take on the challenge! This class is open to 24 participants.

INDOBOARD YOGA  NEW!

SUP! A stand up paddleboard experience, indoors! We will take our yoga practice on an indo yoga board to work on balance, stability, and flexibility.  No experience necessary! We will start our classes on land and progress to the board as we build strength and stamina flowing through various yoga poses. Namaste yogis! This class is open to 11 participants.

BELLYDANCE  NEW!

This course will cover the foundations of the ancient art of belly dance in a supportive environment. We will work on strength, isolations, and conditioning within belly dance technique.  Moves and choreography will be broken down, no experience necessary. Join us as we dance into the evening with this fitness format! This class is open to 35 participants.

TAI CHI 

Originally developed in ancient China for self-defense, Tai chi is sometimes described as meditation in motion because it promotes serenity through gentle movements — connecting the mind and body. In this class you will perform a series of postures or movements in a slow, graceful manner that when combined together form a short “dance.”  This class will include specific exercises from within the Dao Yin Yang Sheng Gong system. The slow circular movements, blended with deep breathing, help to decrease stress, increase range of motion, improve flexibility and balance and cultivate a sense of wellbeing. This class is open to 35 participants.
