Pickett Park

Take a minute to slow down and relax at Pickett Park. Here you can enjoy the serenity and landscape as you step away from the hustle and bustle to a convenient location right here at Purdue. Bring a picnic or a good book to the corner of Stadium Avenue and McCormick Road. Pickett Park is available for reservation to groups and Purdue organizations.  We’ve also added outdoor exercise equipment so you can take your workout outside of the building or add in a circuit during your run.

Pickett Memorial Park is named for the late Dean Pickett, a student at Purdue. He passed away  in July 1969 in Yosemite National Park when a ledge he was standing on gave way. His parents, Robert and Margaret Pickett, established the park in 1971 to memorialize their son and his great love of the outdoors. In the spring of 1998, the class of 1999 renovated the park.

Outdoor Tennis Courts
We love a good tennis match! Just West of TREC you will find six tennis courts. Court lights are available; you can turn them on by pushing the button located on the light box any time after 5. Lights will automatically turn off at midnight.
Northwest Fields

Opened in the Fall 2018, the 35 acres of playing field is home to nine of Purdue Club Sports Teams including cricket, men's and women's lacrosse, men's and women's rugby, men's and women's soccer, and men's and women's ultimate frisbee.

The lighted fields include prescription turf, in-ground irrigation, and underground drainage.  The fields also have portable scoreboards, bleachers, and team benches for games and practices.
