Bike Share Program
The Office of University Sustainability received a generous grant from Alcoa Foundation to make bike share a reality on our campus. Partnering with nationally recognized bike share vendor Zagste, allows for 13 Purdue Bike Share stations around campus, including one on Jischke Dr. The bikes will help students commute to class and in other day-to-day travel. The bikes themselves have safety lights, a basket in the front, and an easily adjustable seat.
To rent a bike, all you need to do is download the Zagster App, enter the bike number, and unlock the bike. Once you arrive at your destination, lock-up the bike, close the lockbox, and choose end ride on the app. This program will give members the ability to travel farther, faster, and with less energy.
The annual cost of this service is $25. Students and staff will also be able to sign-up online and see more information about the program at www.zagster.com/purdue. The first 500 members to register for Purdue Bike Share will receive a free helmet, courtesy of the Office of University Sustainability.
