The Purdue Staff Golf League
he Purdue Staff Golf League (PSGL) has been in existence since 1943 to provide a summer golf opportunity for Purdue Faculty & Staff, Retirees, Spouses, and Graduate Students. The PSGL plays every Monday beginning at 4pm on Ackerman Hills Golf Course starting May 12th and ending on August 18th. Each year the league consists of 8–12 teams with 8–10 golfers per team. Each week teams compete 4 v 4 with each individual match play worth four (4) points. With calculated handicaps, the golfer that wins the most holes in a 9-hole match will receive two (2) points, and the golfer that has the lowest net score after 9-holes will receive two (2) points. In addition there are two (2) points for the team that wins the most holes and two (2) points for the team that has the lowest net score for a total of 20 points per team match. This season the PSGL is implementing a double par limit to promote a faster and more enjoyable golfing experience.
