New to Personal Training
What is personal training?
A personal trainer will develop a personalized exercise program for you based on your health history and current fitness level. They will then meet with you to teach you how to best perform the selected exercises and provide on-going motivation to help you reach your health and fitness goals.
What can I expect the first time I meet my trainer?
Once you submit a trainer request, we will match you with the personal trainer that is the best fit for you. At your initial meeting, you and your trainer will discuss your training goals and health history. If you feel comfortable with the initial meeting, you will be able to purchase personal training sessions with your trainer.
How many sessions do I need?
Education: If you already exercise on a regular basis and want a trainer to modify or improve an existing workout plan OR if you are new to exercise and want a solid foundation, 4 sessions is the best package for you.
Education & Progression: Moving up to 8 sessions will provide the same foundation, but will also give you enough time to work with your trainer on progressing you to more advanced exercises.
Education, progression & motivation: One of the biggest benefits of personal training is the additional motivation that a personal trainer can provide. If you would like to work with a trainer on a long term basis, 12 and 16 session packages will provide you with the best deal. Also, anyone starting with a health concern should consider starting with at least 12 sessions. This will ensure that your trainer can monitor your initial progress and ensure that you learn the safest way to exercise with any given condition.
