Student Advisory Board

Mission:

The Intramural Student Advisory Board (IMSAB) is an organization where students and administrative staff members work cooperatively to better the overall landscape of Purdue University's Intramural Sports Program. The IMSAB provides an open forum for students to initiate, discuss, and express their thoughts and concerns about regulations and policies, as well as assist in the delivery of a successful and competitive Intramural Program for all participants.

Board Members:

The committee is composed of highly motivated intramural sport participants, captains, and staff members with a diverse background in sports and program groups. Participation is voluntary and members will be selected based on their application. The current board is made up of the following people:

Megan Bereda

Major: Pharmacy

Organization Representing: Kappa Alpha Theta

Favorite IM Sports Moment: Coming back from a 12 point deficit in Sand Volleyball and still winning the match in two games.

Brandon Berke

Major: Industrial Engineering

Year in School: Sophomore

Organization Representing: Alpha Epsilon Pi

Favorite IM Sports Moment: Making a playoff run with my flag football team as the captain and quarterback of the team.

Clint Buechler

Favorite Intramural Sports Moment: Taking my indoor volleyball team to the final four in the post season tournament my freshman year.

Gregory Bunting

Favorite IM Sports Moment: Scoring six points in the 2nd half, of a GFS Ultimate Frisbee, to come back and tie the game 6-6 against Aero Assault.

Primary Responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities of the IMSAB include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Discuss current Intramural rules, regulations and policies ,and ways to improve them
  • Discuss disciplinary violations of Intramural participants
  • Discuss concerns raised by participants in the various programming areas
  • Discuss new sports options and changes to formats
  • Discuss effective communication styles and formats for captains and participants to receive information
  • Discuss customer service levels provided by intramural staff
