Our facility contains a variety of “fitness neighborhoods” to meet the diverse needs and interests of the Purdue University community. These neighborhoods compose of state-of-the-art equipment, including cardiovascular machines, variable resistance machines, plate-loaded equipment, Olympic lift platforms, free weights, and functional equipment.

Basement Level

Colby

Colby is the largest fitness space in the facility. This neighborhood provides a traditional gym environment, with a wide variety of fitness equipment in one space. In addition to 14 TVs displayed in this space, several cardiovascular machines have personal viewing screens.

East Fitness

East Fitness is adjacent to the Colby fitness area and provides a full range of plate-loaded strength equipment. This space is ideal for those interested in conventional free-weight power lifting and Olympic weightlifting.

Scifres Functional Fitness

This neighborhood is adjacent to the Lower Gym, in the northwest corner of the basement level. Scifres Functional Fitness provides an area to perform exercises that simulate everyday movements and require additional training and stretching space.

Fitness Loft

The Fitness consists entirely of cardiovascular equipment and provides a great view of Martin Jischke Drive and East Campus. Due to its proximity to the locker rooms, this is an ideal location for those looking for a quick workout. In addition to 5 TVs displayed in this area, several machines have personal viewing screens.

Fitness Pavillion

The Fitness Pavillion provides a more secluded and quiet environment for your workout, as well as views of third street. This fitness neighborhood provides two TVs, and a variety of fitness equipment, including cardiovascular machines with personal viewing screens.

Upper Fitness

Upper Fitness also provides a more secluded and quiet environment for your workout, as well as spectacular views of campus. This fitness neighborhood provides a variety of fitness equipment, including cardiovascular machines with personal viewing screens.

The Fitness Mezzanine provides an exciting environment for your workout. Due to its proximity to the 3rd floor track and a functional training station, this space provides a wide variety of workout options, including cardiovascular, flexibility, strength and circuit training.

This space provides an exclisive workout environment for our faculty and staff members. In addition to cardiovascular and strength equipment, proximity to the 4th floor track provides variety and additional workout options for members.
