Small Group Training

The Personal Training program currently offers the following Small Group Training programs.  Please sign-up at the Member Services desk, online, or by calling 765.494.3110.

FIT BODY BOOT CAMP

Take your fitness routine to the next level with a constantly varied, high intensity, total body workout.  Our Personal Training staff will create workouts that change weekly, and are designed for beginners, as well as seasoned fitness enthusiasts.  Work together to create camaraderie, build cardiovascular and muscular endurance, have fun and get fit!  Class will be held at various locations across campus including: track and field, intramural fields, slater hill, and various trails. The CoRec Fitness Mezzanine will be used on inclement weather days.  This class is open to 20 participants.

TRX® SUSPENSION TRAINING

Achieve a full body workout emphasizing core performance that is tailored to your ability. The pendulum principle and suspension training allow you to maximize lifting like never before. TRX® Suspension Training is the perfect way to tone up and have fun! This small group training class will provide individual attention and group motivation. This class is open to 12 participants.

PurdueFit

This CrossFit style class will intensity train your body by using functional movements that are constantly varied.  This class is the ultimate conditioning class that will improve your cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength and endurance, mobility, and your mind! PurdueFit is for everyone, and each workout can be scaled based on load and intensity. This class if open to 20 participants

TOTAL BODY CIRCUIT TRAINING

Get more done in less time with this unique circuit style workout utilizing our state-of-the-art Kinesis® One and Kinesis® Stations.  This class will combine functional exercises on the stations to challenge your major muscle groups along with cardio interval bursts with shorter rest periods to keep your heart rate up. The seamless transition between exercises makes it one of the most effective styles of training.  This class is open to 20 participants.  

ROCK YOUR RESOLUTION FITNESS CHALLENGE

Are you ready to set AND achieve your 2014 New Year’s Resolutions? The Rock Your Resolution Fitness Challenge is your first chance to kick start the New Year with the help of our personal trainers and wellness partners.  Whether you want to lose weight, gain strength, or reduce stress, this class is designed to help you reach you goals and develop lifelong healthy habits.  The program includes:

  • A circuit-style workout that push your cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength and mobility, with the encouragement of the team on Mondays.
  • Small group training for the opportunity to work closely with your personal trainer, and wellness workshops covering topics such as proper nutrition, behavior modification, and stress reduction on Wednesdays.
  • A modified Group X pass allowing you access to our large selection of group fitness class.
  • Incentives for attending additional workshops, completing fitness assessments, and more.
