Strength

BODY SCULPT

Strength training isn’t just for the weight room. Body Sculpt is the ultimate full body workout designed to strengthen and tone every muscle from head to toe using a variety of equipment including dumbbells, resistance bands, Ballast Balls, BOSUs, Lebert Equalizers, medicine balls and gliding discs. Exercises and equipment are selected by the instructor and creatively woven together for a unique workout that is different from week to week.

TABATA CORE

Tabata is a form of high intensity interval training that produces remarkable results in both aerobic and anaerobic capacity. Each Tabata workout will consist of a warm-up (5 minutes), five total body exercises using intervals (20 minutes) and a cool down (5 minutes). Your instructor will wrap up the class with 20 minutes of core strength and flexibility

CARDIO BLAST

Looking for an awesome cardio workout? This class is for you! Cardio Blast fuses the best that floor exercise has to offer, including traditional hi/lo impact aerobics, dance, sport agility drills and kickboxing. Prepare for a fun and challenging class, guaranteed to get your heart pumping. 

INSANITY®

INSANITY® is a revolutionary cardio-based total body conditioning program based on the principles of MAX interval training. This class will push you past your limits with plyometric drills on top of nonstop intervals of strength, power, resistance, and ab and core training moves. You don’t have to be in extreme shape– levels of each exercise are provided. And you won't need equipment or weights—just the desire to push past your limits.Time to dig deep!

STEPILICIOUS

Stepilicious takes Step Aerobics to a whole new level. This fun and challenging workout is designed to push your cardio into high gear and attack the legs in every plane of motion. Stepilicious strengthens the heart, improves coordination, and tones the lower body with every step you take.

TURBO KICK®

The evolution of kickboxing is here! This addictive workout combines shadow boxing, kickboxing, sport drills, and simple dance moves in a party atmosphere. Great music and high energy will keep you moving and feeling fit. Kick, punch and groove in this action-packed, super fun, cardiovascular workout. It’s kickboxing and so much more!

Cardio Strength Fusion

20/20/20

20/20/20 fuses cardiovascular, strength and core training into one super-charged workout. Each section will focus on one component, using a variety of equipment, including BOSU’s, Ballast Balls, steps, medicine balls and more.

INTERVAL EXTREME

Is it a weight training or cardio day? Why not do both without sacrificing a thing?! You will get the workout you came for using various equipment such as BOSU balls, stability balls, weights, and more. Interval Insanity will give you heart thumping cardio interspersed with weight training for one high-powered workout.

Dance

ZUMBA®

Ditch the workout and join the party! This Latin-inspired, dance-fitness class incorporates Latin and international music and dance moves, creating a dynamic, exciting, exhilarating and effective workout. This class – known as a “fitness party” – combines fast and slow rhythms of cumbiamerengue,salsareggaetonhip-hoppopmamborumbaflamencocalypso and salsaton to help tone and sculpt the body with easy to follow dance moves!  No dance experience required.

Mind Body

PILATES FOUNDATIONS

This introductory class is your perfect entry point into pilates. Pilates is a system of controlled exercises that engage the mind and condition the body. The blend of strength and flexibility training improves posture, reduces stress and creates long, lean muscles. In this class you will learn the basic series of exercises upon which the Pilates method is built. Participants will be provided with a variety of intensity options for all exercises.  Additional pilates classes with a more structured and progressive format can be found in the Mind Body section of our Learn to Play program.

YOGA FOUNDATIONS

This introductory class is your perfect entry point into yoga.  Participants will be provided with a variety of intensity options for all yoga poses to improve posture, flexibility and strength. With a focus on breath and alignment, this class will relax the mind, body and soul. Additional Yoga classes with a more structured and progressive format can be found in the Mind Body section of our Learn to Play program.

YOGA FOR A HEALTHY BACK

Build a healthy relationship with your spine! In this class, we will move through a series of postures designed to help you find and feel proper alignment in your low back, sacrum, hips, upper back, neck and shoulders. We will practice yoga breathing and meditation techniques intended to help you recognize and release tension. You will leave feeling refreshed and equipped with the tools to help you stand up to poor posture.

TAI CHI

Originally developed in ancient China for self-defense, Tai chi is sometimes described as meditation in motion because it promotes serenity through gentle movements — connecting the mind and body. In this class you will perform a series of postures or movements in a slow, graceful manner that when combined together form a short “dance.”  This class will include specific exercises from within the Dao Yin Yang Sheng Gong system. The slow circular movements, blended with deep breathing, help to decrease stress, increase range of motion, improve flexibility and balance and cultivate a sense of wellbeing.

Water Fitness

DEEP WATER FITNESS (45)

Grab your swimsuit and head to the Boilermaker Aquatic Center. This warm water exercise program takes place in our 86 degree diving well and incorporates cardio, strength and core training movements, using flotation belts, water dumbbells, noodles and the resistance of the water.  Challenge your body, improve flexibility and endurance andenjoy the therapeutic benefits of water exercise. This total body workout is open to all fitness levels.

H20 BODY BLAST (45)

Experience your favorite high intensity workouts in a new way! Challenge and change your body with a cross-training combination of cardio intervals, strength and core drills, kickboxing, pilates and flexibility work with the added resistance and low impact benefits of water. Jump in,  make a splash and enjoy the pure fun of this 45 minute water extravaganza with land equivalent intensity, fantastic sing-along quality music and dynamic instructors. This water fitness workout provides a challenge for participants of all ages,  and fitness levels.
