East/West Gym

The six courts will mainly be used for Rec Sports programming, classes, and basketball. The entrance to this space is on the Northwest side of the East/West Gyms.

Also, informal indoor soccer will be offered in the West Gym.

Soccer Priority Change

Starting Monday, April 16 West Gym Soccer Priority T & R 11:30 am–2:00 pm ONLY

No Friday or Saturday priority times Friday, April 20, April 27, and May 4, 2012
East Gold Field Lights will be on from sunset to 11:00 pm

If you are new to Purdue Rec Sports, please check out our fitness center polices!

  • 60 pieces of cardio equipment including treadmills, ellipticals, AMTs, recumbent bikes, upright bikes, spin bikes, rowers, steppers and arm ergometers
  • A full line of new Life Fitness weight machines
  • A full line of Iron Grip dumbbells up to 150lbs
  • A complete strength floor including new squat racks, 21 cable stations, bumper plates for Olympic lifting, Olympic upright and flat benches, supplemental plate loaded strength machines and functional fitness equipment

  • A line of dumbbells up to 90lbs
  • 3 squat racks, 3 Olympic benches, 2 deadlifting areas and 4 cable stations

  • Great for beginners or anyone looking to avoid crowds
  • 28 pieces of cardio equipment
  • A line of dumbbells up to 60lbs
  • A full line of Paramount strength equipment
  • Cardio equipment, dumbbells, selectorized weights.

Squash

From January 2011 through August 2012, there are no indoor racquetball facilities on campus. There is, however, one squash court at Lambert Gym for squash use only.

Lambert Squash Court Policies and Procedures

Facility Reservations

  • The Lambert Squash Court may be reserved 8am-8pm, Monday-Friday.
  • Reservations of the Lambert Squash Court must adhere to the following guidelines.
    • Reservations…
      • must be made at least an hour before the reservation time.
      • can be made a maximum 1 week in advance.
      • shall be no more than two hours in duration per reservation.
      • may be forfeited for participant behavior that is detrimental.
  • Reservations must be made in person at Shreve Hall or by calling (765) 494-3109.
  • Court reservations are free of charge.
    Note: Spring 2011 will serve as a trial period and is subject to change.

All requests that fall outside the guidelines stated above must be addressed with the Assistant Director-Facilities.
