Boilermaker Aquatic Center

Dive into an activity which tones your muscles, and gives you a great workout in a world-class facility!

Recreation Pool

The pool has three 25 yard lap lanes, 26 person spa, vortex, two water basketball goals, water volleyball and much more. The warmer water will be great for many activities including some swim lessons and water-exercise programs!

    M–F: 12pm–10:30pm
    Sa & Su: 12:30pm–10:30pm

Gymnasiums

Lower Gym

A proud expansion to the CoRec, the lower gym is designed specifically to meet the needs of volleyball and badminton players. Every detail of this space—from the type and quality of floor to the wall treatments is aimed to boost the playability of badminton and volleyball. The gym is subdivided into three sections and each section can accommodate one volleyball or three badminton courts.
Approximately 14,000 ft2

Gold & Black Gym

Formerly known as the East and West Gyms, the Gold and Black Gym has been updated with new floors, new standards, new lights and air conditioning. Each side of the Gold and Black has three courts. Each court is lined for basketball or volleyball. Approximately 37,000 ft2

Feature Gym 

The Feature Gym is a marque facility located in the heart of the atrium, lined for basketball and volleyball. With floor to ceiling windows on all four sides, the Feature Gym is the place to be and be seen. Equipped with theatrical lighting and sound, the Feature Gym can also accommodate large presentations, banquets or meetings. Approximately 6,700 ft2

Upper Gym

The Upper Gym is the new and improved Main Gym. The Upper Gym has three courts all lined for basketball and volleyball. The center court is also lined for badminton. In addition to receiving new floors, lights and standards (adjustable height for youth programs), the Upper Gym now has natural light, thanks to multiple windows introduced in the renovation. Approximately 18,000 ft2

MAC

Although the Multi-Activity Court (MAC) plays favorite to indoor soccer and hockey, the layout of this spacious court would accommodate almost any indoor activity you might imagine. The MAC is equipped with a multipurpose synthetic floor, dasher boards and floor to ceiling netting. Approximately 15,000 ft2

Indoor Hockey has priority at the following times:

  • Wednesday 5pm–7:30pm
  • Friday 3pm–5pm
  • Sunday 11:30am–1:30p

Indoor Tracks

The CoRec has two indoor tracks.

Atrium Track

At 9.5 laps per mile, three lanes wide, with a 14mm thick synthetic floor, the atrium track provides a premier indoor running venue. In just one trip around this track, you are able to experience a wide variety of the activities the CoRec has to offer our patrons!

Upper Track

At 10.25 laps per miles, two lanes wide, with a Mondo track surface, this track provides a much more private feel. Located on the fourth floor, it provides a great alternative to the atrium track.

Meeting Rooms

Large Conference Room (2336)

The Large Conference Room is located in the heart of the main floor. Nicely appointed with natural maple finishes, this room is “large” in style and is equipped with a full complement of AV equipment to satisfy most meetings/conference needs. Seating 24–32. Approximately 750ft2

Rec Pool Classroom (1227)

Nestled immediately adjacent to the new Rec Pool, this meeting room is ideally suited meetings and classes that need quick access to the water. Equipped with a large screen and AV equipment the wet classroom can also be used host social functions, birthday parties, etc. Approximately 500 ft2

Small Conference Room (1271)

Although it is small this conference room packs a big punch. Located on Level 1 next to the Equipment Center the Small Conference is capable of hosting meetings comfortably for 16 and is equipped with a large display. Approximately 308 ft2

Wellness Conference Room (2236)

This meeting room draws its name from its location immediately adjacent to the Wellness Suite on the second level. This room is uniquely equipped with a moveable wall that expands the seating capacity for the Demonstration Kitchen, however it is also is equipped with AV to function as stand-alone conference room. The flexible furniture in this room affords seating from 16 in conference layout or up to 40 for meetings or presentations. Approximately 480 ft2

Multipurpose Rooms

Multipurpose Room 1 (B237), Multipurpose Room 2 (B247)

MP1 and MP2 are furnished with a highly resilient wood floor, mirrors and sound system. Designed primarily to host group exercise classes, MP 1 and 2 are also suitable for dance, movement arts and occasional meetings. Approximately 1,900 ft2 each.

Multipurpose Room 3 (B315)

MP3 is space that is covered with wrestling mats suitable for wrestling, tumbling, or martial arts. Approximately 1,500 ft2.

Multipurpose Room 4 (B304)

Located on the south end of the basement level, MP4 is perhaps the most deceptive multipurpose room in the CoRec. Benefiting from 22 ft high ceilings and a banner of windows above ground, MP4 feels nothing like a basement as natural light fills the space from the east and south. While the urethane floor affords many uses, MP4 will be most suitable for martial arts. Approximately 1,100 ft2.

Multipurpose Room 5 (2317)

MP5 is a sub-dividable, wood floor, multipurpose room. Typically users will find the eastern third lined with table tennis. The western portion, equipped with mirrors and sound system, is suitable for dance and large group exercise classes. Serving as the “home” for the fencing club, the entire room is also striped with fencing pistes. Approximately 5,100 ft2.

Multipurpose Room 6 (3261) and Multipurpose Room 7 (3267)

Due to their location on the upper level of the East face of the CoRec, MP6 and MP7 have stunning views of main campus. Each room has high ceilings, highly resilient wood floors, mirrors, multi-height ballet bars and sound systems. Designed primarily to host group LTP classes, MP6 and 7 are also suitable for dance, movement arts and occasional meetings. Approximately 1,750 ft2 each.

Racquetball/Handball/Wallyball/Squash Courts

The CoRec has ten courts that can be used for racquetball, handball, and wallyball. We have six courts equipped with back walls that allow the court to be either squash or racquetball. Court 7 in the basement has a glass back wall and adjoining spectator seating.

TREC

With approximately 34,000 ft2 of synthetic turf, TREC is home to a multitude of activities. While soccer has priority most of the time, it can also provide a great space for flag football, ultimate frisbee, and a variety of other club practices.
