Laboratory
Services
The Laboratory performs lab testing on all students and employees who have a written order from a physician. Laboratory test results are sent to the ordering physician and patients must contact their physician to obtain the results.
Who is eligible to visit the Laboratory?
- Full or part-time students and their spouses.
- The laboratory is a drawing site for insurance plans that require their labs to go to Quest, LabCorp, MidAmerica or LabOne Laboratories. Please inform the Lab Staff prior to having your labs collected if your insurance requires one of these labs.
- The laboratory can provide testing for outside providers with a signed physician's order.
- Recent Purdue graduates holding active Student Resources insurance plan.
- Purdue employees with any Purdue Health Plan (further eligibility information).

Hours
Please Note: Appointments are scheduled one half hour after the opening time and one half hour before the closing time (e.g., 8:30am to 4:30pm in the Clinic)
Fall and Spring Semesters
Monday through Friday
8:00am - 5:00pm
5:00pm - 8:00pm for Urgent Care patients only
Saturday and Sunday
10:00am - 6:00pm for Urgent Care patients only
Summer Semester and Semester Breaks
Monday through Friday
8:00am - 12:00pm, 1:00pm - 5:00pm
Please note: An appointment is encouraged for all special chemistry testing.
Fees
There are fees for laboratory testing, however payment is not required at the time of service. Patients or their insurance companies will be billed for any incurred fees following their visit. University employees will be asked to file their own insurance claims.
Please Note: Purdue University requires that students be academically encumbered if health fees are not paid by the 25th of the month after receiving a bill from Accounts Receivable.
Staffing
The Laboratory is staffed by a team of certified medical technologists and medical laboratory technicians, who are assisted by student staff members.
