The Purdue University Pharmacy (PUP) is the preferred pharmacy of the Student Health Insurance plan with cost savings not available at retail pharmacies. Insured students and their dependents must present their Student Insurance ID when having prescriptions filled at PUP. Please review your policy details for co-pay information. Please contact PUP directly for further information. PUP is located in the building next to PUSH (Purdue University Student Health Center). You must use a United Healthcare network pharmacy. There are NO benefits for out-of-network pharmacies.

United Healthcare Pharmacy Benefit Program is the pharmacy network of choice. United Healthcare uses OPTUMRx for certain pharmacy benefits. Please present the insurance ID to the network pharmacy when filling a prescription. If a network pharmacy is not used, you will be responsible for paying the full cost of the prescription. Please review your policy details for co-pay information.
If you do not present your card to the network pharmacy, you will need to pay for the prescription. In order to be reimbursed, a reimbursement claim form must be completed and submitted to the pharmacy network along with the paid receipt. A reimbursement form can be found here.
