Frequenty Asked Questions

When is the PUSH Insurance office open?

PUSH is open Monday through Friday 8:30-4:30. The office is located on the third floor in Rooms 338 and 340. You can email questions to student-insurance@purdue.edu. The insurance representatives can also be reached by phone at 765-496-3998. However, there is no ability to leave a message. Emails are the best method of communication.

What if my insurance company does not give me an insurance card to submit with my waiver form?

If you cannot obtain an insurance card, then we must have a declaration page that has all the information that is necessary to submit a claim.

What if I leave the country before the insurance expires? Can I get a refund?

No refunds will be issued. However, please be aware that the insurance is valid anywhere in the world.

What should I do if I need to see a doctor before August 6th, when my student insurance becomes effective?

If you plan to arrive in the US prior to your classes beginning, it is recommended that you purchase a travel policy to cover any illnesses or injuries that may occur prior to the August 6th start date of the Purdue University sponsored insurance. You may be seen at the Purdue University Student Health Center, but please be aware that you will incur charges for your visit that will have to be paid at the time of service. However, if your travel policy has a United States mailing address, PUSH will submit your health insurance claim for you.
