  • Purdue University: Masters of Science in Nursing (2010)
  • Oregon Health & Science University, Bachelors of Science in Nursing (1996)

Professional Interests & Specializations:

As an adult nurse practitioner with over 20 years of nursing experience, I am interested in all areas of patient care; head to toe and everything in between. I take care of patients with infections, injuries, aches, rashes, insomnia, anxiety, depression, asthma, potentional exposure to sexually transmitted infections, birth conrol needs and more. Nursing has taught me to have a holistic perspective with a special focus on patient education and preventative care. I am part of Purdue's Eating Disorders Treatment Team where I work with students and other professionals to care for students with eating disorders. I served as co-chair of PUSH's Infection Prevention and Control Committee. I am also interested in issues related to diversity, consent, justice and the ethical delivery of health care.

Length of time at PUSH:

I have been working at PUSH as a nurse practitioner since 2010. Before that, I worked as a registered nurse in our Extended Care Services. I started my nursing career way back in the 1990s in Oregon.

Why do you like working at PUSH?

I love the campus community atmosphere that brings a truly diverse patient population through our doors. I am honored and humbled by the marvelous work of helping Purdue students achieve their dreams and goals.

What is your philosophy of care?

I work hard at being a balanced and authentically caring person, both professionally and personally. I am ready to listen to you and to help you to make the best decisions about health care needs.
