The Grand Legacy Scholarship awards prizes for the best two 500-word essays from students describing how their grandparent's experience at Purdue influenced their own decision to attend Purdue. The scholarship is open to all current full-time students attending Purdue University.
The dates for the program are as follows:

April 15 — Application deadline
May 21 — The scholarship winner and runner-up will be selected and notified
July 8 — Winning essays will be published in the Purdue Alumnus magazine and featured on the Purdue Alumni Web site

The winning essay will be published in the July/August issue of the Purdue Alumnus magazine. The author will receive a scholarship of $1,500.
The runner-up will have their essay published in the July/August online issue of the Purdue Alumnus. The runner-up will receive a scholarship of $500.
