Alex Huang

Major: Chemical Engineering

Hometown: Carmel, IN

I am conducting analytical research for Dr. George Bodner, Arthur E. Kelly Distinguished Professor of Chemistry, Education, and Engineering at Purdue University. Dr. Bodner’s research focuses on chemical education. I am working on the NanoKids project through the Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF), a program sponsored by Intel and the National Science Foundation which promotes undergraduate research opportunities. As part of my paid research internship, I work with Dr. Bodner in addition to participating in SURF activities and sessions. In my free time, I like to run, strength train, relax poolside, play guitar, and work with my computer. I’m also learning how to cook and experimenting with different foods. On the weekends, I go home to spend time with my family and catch up on sleep.
