Honors Contract Courses
University Honors Program (UHP) students may be eligible for a university honors diploma if they successfully complete a minimum of 24 hours of honors credit as certified by the Director of the UHP in consultation with the Honors Circle, UHPAdvisory Committee.Students must earn a B or higher in honors credit courses when attempting to fulfill honors diploma requirements. Students are expected to maintain at least 3.6 cumulative GPA to remain within good academic standing of the UHP.
UHP students may earn honors credit through honors contract courses. Honors contracts allow UHP students to take non-honors courses with faculty who agree to an honors project that requires more rigorous work on part of the UHP student.
Students may not complete honors contracts in courses which have already been designated honors option courses or honors only through the Office of the Registrar.
Freshmen and sophomore students should consult with UHP staff when considering honors contract courses.
