The
National and International Scholarships Office (NISO) is committed to helping Purdue students prepare competitive applications for merit-based scholarships that enable them to undertake graduate study, research, or teach abroad. We educate students, faculty and staff about scholarship opportunities, assist students in identifying appropriate scholarships given their interests, provide guidance in the preparation of application materials, and prepare candidates through mock interviews. The office also assists faculty members who serve as mentors, recommenders, or campus nomination committee members.
The Director of the National and International Scholarships Office is available to assist students with:
Clarifying educational, professional, and long-term goals
Identifying scholarships and fellowships related to goals
Evaluating scholarship potential
Identifying research, leadership, and service opportunities to enhance the educational experience
Understanding the application process
Writing application resumes, personal statements, and project proposals
