HONR Course Proposal
The UHP is preparing to welcome its fourth cohort of undergraduates in fall 2008. UHP students are top-notch students who are selected based upon strong SAT/ACT scores, high school grades, and leadership abilities.
Faculty members who have received distinguished teaching accolades such as induction into the Teaching Academy, recipient of Murphy Award, and other similar awards are invited to propose an HONR course. As an instructor of an HONR course, you will have the opportunity to teach students with exceptional potential representing all academic disciplines.
Chris Oseto, Director of the UHP and members of the Honors Circle invite you to create and teach an intensive and enriched class that meets the objectives of the UHP. Your proposed class may be one that you have always wanted to teach or a modification of an existing course. These courses should appeal to a wide academic audience and show interrelationships among disciplines. To learn more about previous HONR offerings, please click here.
Participation in the UHP is an honor. Limited financial support of $8,000 is available to participating faculty as an overload payment or payment to the faculty member’s department.
If you are interested in participating in the UHP, please download and complete the course proposal request form and submit it to Chris Oseto, Director of the UHP, Young Hall 144. Course proposal deadline for spring semester 2009 is August 13, 2008. If you have any questions, please contact Chris Oseto by phone, 4-2901 or by e-mail, osetoc@purdue.edu.
